Dennis Gruenling is the host of the Thursday edition of WFDU's weekday blues format - Across The Tracks - from 1:00 to 3:45 PM EST. On any given Thursday afternoon, you can hear Dennis spin everything from Chicago-style (Muddy Waters, Sunnyland Slim), to jump blues styles (Joe Liggins, Louis Jordan), to New Orleans blues (Smiley Lewis, Dave Bartholomew), and even some vocal group blues and R&B (The Clovers, The Spiders). Weaving into the mix of music will be facts and history of this music, coming from years of study and a serious record-buying addiction.

In addition to this, the contemporary masters who keep these styles alive will also be featured regularly, on recording or as in-studio guests on the show.
